I grew up listening to many Rock & Roll icons. There was an energy and performance art that rocked the world. My focus in this series is the classic rock era. True artists in my opinion. Jagger, Bowie, Plant, Tyler, Freddie, and others left an indelible mark on music and society. At the risk of being perceived as dated, it was a special era that I don't believe we will see again. Call me old school, I gladly accept the title.

The raw energy of live rock shows is powerful. The performance artists of the classic rock era plowed new ground and pushed the boundaries like never before. With eyes wide and hearts pumping at full force we devoured these concerts. We had never seen anything like it. I remember my first Kiss concert. It seemed like these guys had been dropped off from the mothership. Walls of sound and light, and bass lines that you could actually feel. The fact that we would all have hearing issues was and occupational hazard.
