From old Tarzan movies to Animal Planet, wildlife has always been interesting to me. This series is a contemporary interpretation of that world and its majestic inhabitants. I believe that all animals are noble creations with spirits. Each has I introduce an abstract quality to these pieces.

Elephant

I am in awe of the animals of the world, especially those of Africa. Elephants in particular display a power, kindness, and nobility that is exceptional. There is also a sadness in the eyes that pierces my heart. I portray these creatures in a contemporary expressionist format.
